Anne Swärd's novel "Breathless" translated to Albanian by Entala Tabaku

In Anne Swärd's novel ”Breathless” from 2010 we meet seven year old Lo and get to follow her as she grows up. The novel takes us to places like Stockholm, Krakow, Budapest and New York. And we get to know the men Lo meet. Not least Lukas, the boy next door, who is 13 when the story begins, and who will come to play an important role in Lo's life.

Now ”Breathless” has been translated to Albanian by Entela Tabaku, Associate Professor at the Department of Modern Languages. Entela Tabaku is active as a translator from Swedish to Albanian and she has translated, among others, Selma Lagerlöf (Nils Holgersson), Sven Nordqvist (Pettson and Findus) as well as novels. She is also a published poet.
 
Anne Swärd's first novel was published in 2003 and she has written six novels so far. Her work has been translated to some 20 languages, and in 2019 she was elected into the Swedish Academy. ”Breathless” is the first of her novels to be translated into Albanian.
